Our tablet will be better than the iPad

As a previous owner of iPhones, I hated AT&T. I thought my Droid on Verizon will make me happy. Well, it didn’t. The put it mildly, the phone and Android OS sucks. If you never used an iPhone, it may be acceptable, but I haven’t been blessed with the ignorance.
My lovely Droid crashes twice a day, reminding me the days when I had to reboot my Windows machine. I won’t mention the precision of touch because you won’t believe me until you experience it yourself.
The lesson learned here is that I never get what I want or need, just have to make the choice on compromises.
I am absolutely against illegal immigrations. The fact that it’s illegal is wrong and I don’t think it warrants any discussions. With all the hoopla surrounding Arizona’s new legislation, I was curious why people would freak out about it, so I decided to see why.
After filtering out all the garbage, e.g. opinions (whatever happened to journalism?), I was somewhat shocked and disgusted.
First of all, I’m all for enforcing laws, but not if it means handing over my rights protected by the Constitution. I find it offensive that I have to prove my nationality because I look the way I do. I know it’s not easy living in US when “you don’t look like they do”, and this is one more way to make it worse.
I’m not proud of it, but my kids were never disciplined. My wife and I can’t do it. I may raise my voice, but when I do, Ellen gets so emotional that I immediately turn to comfort her. Sydney thinks it’s a game and she turns all bubbly and gets super cute. She has that effects on people.
I can honestly count the time we gave time outs since we’ve only done it within the number of fingers we have. Probably the biggest problem is that there’s nothing in this world I hate more than to see my children sad in any ways. I just can’t handle it.
I know what you’re thinking, but you have to understand that my girls are really really good in nature and they do know what’s right and wrong. I think they pick that up from the sadness in our facial expressions. However, this super spoilage must stop.
It will be my personal mission to research all disciplinary techniques next couple of weeks and will note the progress here. Wish me luck!
Riley will be with us on August 16 unless she decides to come out before then.
I almost forgot that today’s the Independence Day. Ever since I “grew up”, Independence Day doesn’t feel the same as when I was a kid.
Growing up right across the Hudson River, July 4th meant watching awesome fireworks and BBQ. I used to get excited about celebrating America’s independence, which for me, used to mean freedom, liberty, and equality of all men. I firmly believe that those ideals are dead as we move closer to socialism, but that’s another conversation.
I don’t know when it changed, but I now believe that I’m not and will never be an “American”. Why? For one thing, my wife got harassed by a lady in supermarket who told her to “go back”. I get compliments because I speak natively. If you’ve been to Korea, don’t ask me about certain places because I don’t know.
Sad, isn’t it?
Well, Happy Birthday America, and I just pray that you don’t do what you did to me to my children.
